Round-leaved Sundew, Ronde zonnedauw (Drosera rotundifolia)...
Drosera rotundifolia — the round-leaved sundew or common sundew — is a species of sundew, a carnivorous plant often found in bogs, marshes and fens.
The plant is on the Dutch red list of plants as common, but very strong decreasing and is therefore protected by law.
The plant captures small insects (mainly flies) and spiders. It does this by means of leaves that are equipped with gland hairs which at the tip a drop of sticky secretion is (the 'dew'). If a fly lands on the leaf, the petal paste rolls slowly on to the prey to digest.
