'Station Kapsalon' is de favoriete bijnaam Centraal Station Rotterdam.

Ruim twee weken konden de Rotterdammers stemmen op hun meest favoriete bijnaam voor het nieuwe Centraal Station. De verkiezing werd begonnen met een lijst van dertien bijnamen, maar al snel stroomden er vele extra bijnamen binnen. Enkele daarvan zijn alsnog zijn toegevoegd aan de lijst, zoals 'De Metromuil', 'Station Zinksnijer' of 'De Treinmond', maar winnen deden zij niet meer.

In totaal hebben 3427 mensen hun stem uitgebracht en de top drie luidt als volgt:

'Station Kapsalon' met 972 stemmen (28%)
'De Haaienbek' met 783 stemmen (23%)
'De Grote Muil' met 233 stemmen (7%)

**Station Rotterdam Centraal**: Het door de architect Sybold van Ravesteyn ontworpen gebouw werd in 1957 geopend en was onderdeel van de wederopbouw van Rotterdam. Dat gebouw werd in 2007 gesloten en het jaar erop gesloopt om plaats te maken voor de nieuwbouw. Koning Willem-Alexander opent donderdag 13 maart 2014 officieel het nieuwe station Rotterdam Centraal.

Ik kneep hem wel Trudy. Had ik net een goedkoop treinkaartje bij de Blokker gekocht en zou ik bijna mijn voordeel weer kwijt zijn aan een bekeuring :( Gelukkig kwamen ze niet controleren en ben ik op de terugreis maar netjes via De Haag gegaan en heb alle stationnetjes onderweg gezien, hahaha....

Dat is het zeker Jaap. Ik werd daar 's Morgens vroeg getrakteerd op een super strakblauwe lucht, waar ik ook wel blij mee was. Had liever nog iets meer ruimte om het gebouw gehad, maar kon jammer genoeg niet verder naar achteren... Enkele dagen later werd het station opnieuw geopend door koning Willem-Alexander.

Rotterdam heeft ook een prachtige skyline Jaap. Heel bijzonder al die moderne hoogbouw en zeer geliefd bij fotografen. Dus een uitdaging waard! En vergeet de kubuswoningen ook niet, die zijn wereldwijd beroemd...

Ik had een supersonische dag daar Marco. Op een zeer vroege zondagochtend kwam ik daar aan, vond bijna niemand op mijn pad en kon dus prachtig foto's maken, zonder verkeer enzo....

Bij Schiphol was ik per ongeluk in de hogesnelheidstrein gaan zitten en die ging als een speer, zodat ik al heel vroeg in Rotterdam was :-) Gelukkig werd er niet gecontroleerd, en scheelde me dat een flinke boete!

Rotterdam indeed has very much modern buildings. This station was rebuilt and I had a look for that four days before the new reopening by king Willem-Alexander.
I was there very early on a Sunday morning, so the people are all in bed, haha.... At that time it was not busy at all ;)

Hahaha, in the vilages we have very much of these fences Leon, and we call them: 'Amsterdammertjes'. In Amsterdam there are thousends of them.
When they are not placed, everyone is putting his car there or on the porch / steps :(

Ja Wierd, sinds maart 2014 is dit de voorkant van de Centrale hal! Van binnen vind ik het ook erg mooi verbouwd. En ja, op een vroege zondagochtend is het er nog stil ;)
