Yarn Market
Yarn Market, Dunster. George Lutterell had the Yarn Market built around 1609 to provide shelter to merchants and their wares. Dunster had a thriving wool and cloth trade and there was even a broadcloth named 'Dunsters'.
The Yarn Market was damaged during the Civil War and restored in 1647. It is said that a hole in one of the roof beams was as a result of it being hit by a cannonball.
Behind the Yarn Market and above the trees can be seen Conygar Tower, a folly once used as a landmark for shipping
