I'm a great lover of these old stone stiles. When I was about four I hauled my doll's pram over one. I'd been told not to go into a field as a bull had just been pastured there but I'd forgotten. Pleased to remember I rescued my "family" as well as myself.

I imagine you were out of the field more quickly than you entered it! Thanks very much for your visit Jean, much appreciated.

That's a different one, obviously not sheep country as the lambs would be disappearing from one field to the next

I think you are probably right Colin, the lambs would be going walkabout! There was no livestock in the fields at the time but I suspect they would normally be occupied by cattle.

Un petit escalier de pierres permet d'aller voir si l'herbe est plus verte chez le voisin (lol) bien sûr !
Encore là pour très-très longtemps !++++
Bon cliché Doug.

I'd say!!!
Solid slab indeed!
Fine shot!
Not so much fun for those who can no longer hop over these things with nonchalence! I'm not yet at that stage but I can envisage it!

Thanks very much for your kind comment Andy. My biggest problem was getting five Corgis over it, such fun;-)))

Many thanks for the visit and kind words Rosa. On a clear day the north coast of Devon can be seen from this point - only we never had such a day!
