Thanks very much raingirl. Non of the Abbey is now intact - the first abbey was founded in 657 AD by the King of Northumberland but destroyed by Vikings raiders in 867 AD. It was re-founded in 1078 but destroyed in 1539/40 AD by Henry VIII when he fell out with the Pope.
