Gebt den Insekten eine Chance! Give insects a chance!
According to the latest studies, many insect species are severely threatened and populations are declining sharply. Around one third of all insects are threatened with extinction, as a study by the Heinrich Böll Foundation clearly shows (see www.boell.de/de/insektensterben). A fact that must concern us all greatly. Anyone who has a garden or balcony can do a lot for example for butterflies (advice can be found on the internet).
In the picture, a spotted longhorn (Rutpela maculata) is eating pollen on a common yarrow flower. The picture was taken in my garden in the summer of last year.
