Mainfränkische Landschaft - Franconian landscape

Unter Mainfranken versteht man die Landschaft, die von den Mittelgebirgen Rhön im Norden, Spessart im Westen sowie Haßberge und Steigerwald im Osten eingerahmt wird und vom Main durchschnitten wird. Nicht nur der Main und eine Vielzahl von Weinbergen prägen das Landschaftsbild, sondern auch harmonische Hügellandschaften, fruchtbare Ackerflächen, saftige Wiesen und (noch) stabile Mischwaldgesellschaften.

Main-Franconia is the landscape framed by the low mountain ranges Rhön in the north, Spessart in the west and Haßberge and Steigerwald in the east and intersected by the river Main.
