Heavily cropped but the other shots had too many branches.
Lovely little birds, this is the first one I've ever seen.
What She Really Thinks
Amsterdam Down Low
|
|
What is fast becoming my sig shot of the world, from down low, bugs (or crabs) eye view of Amsterdam.
:)
Amsterdam Up High
|
|
Wreckage in its entirety from up on the shoulders of my other half.
The ship remains are the oval shape you see with the 'bow' in the front. The back half-square shape is a protective barrier that I believe was placed in 2006, they did this to protect the ship from further decay, but the consequence is the water stays covering the ship making it much less visible.

Amsterdam It's All About Angles

Stew and Lin taking some shots, while I was up on the shoulders of Quartz to get a higher perspective...
As you can see we all had an angle... LoL

Front of the Amsterdam Wreckage at low tide.
You can see the sand bags on one side have been placed to help support and protect the remains.
Prehistoric Wood Low Tide

Repeat shot of an earlier in the week one, this one is at the lower tide so shows how this piece of wood is anchored down.
Just found it interesting.

Prehistoric Forest
|
|
Another one of Hastings 7 wonders, prehistoric forest at bulverhythe, hastings-st leonards-bexhill area.
Incidentally for those that live near by, the tide will be at its lowest of the year I believe on Friday, February 13th, this is also the location of the Amsterdam Wreckage, only visible during extremely low tides. We are going down there at about 8am, the daylight hours during this low tide.
