Saturday Self-Challenge 22.06.2019 Things that start with the letter "T" presented in a square aspect ratio. "T" like tunnel. A tube of the old Elbe tunnel can be seen here. the tunnel, opened in 1911, was built to cope with the enormous number of workers who had to change sides to get to their workplaces. Ferries were in operation, but their number would have had to be increased over time to such an extent that a queer crossing of the Elbe would have only disturbed the traffic. Likewise a bridge was rejected... which should have been over 50 meters high. Ships with a draught of more than 10 metres cannot navigate on this part of the Elbe. This was not taken into account during construction.... and so the big freighters don't drive over it nowadays. The large cruise ships, on the other hand, have a draught of less than 10 metres and can call at the port city easily. a Happy SSC @ll

Saturday Self-Challenge 18.05.2019 (inkl. some PiP) Selective Color To see is a historic building ... the Poelzig-Bau. Or "I.G. Farben Gebäude" ... then the main quatier of the US military and now it is home to the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University of Frankfurt am Main. The I.G. Farben (Interests - Community Colors) built as a state-of-the-art headquarters for one of the then largest companies in the world at 1930. A few years later, the chemical company cooperated closely with the Nazis. In the war, just a few discs broke and after the Second World War, the US forces moved there. After a few attacks, the building was completely sealed off by the population in the 70s. After the withdrawal of the US Military, 2001 moved to the University in. a Happy SSC @ll

Saturday Self-Challenge 13.04.2019 " Photograph your pet in black and white (or any animal/animals) ." I am against the confinement of animals in zoos and the not species-appropriate attitude. The monkey in my photo lives in a zoo. He knows it also not differently.... he was born there. see PiP Happy SSC @ll
