Desert View Watchtower, also known as the Indian Watchtower at Desert View, is a 21 m-high stone building located on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, built in 1932. The PiP shows the East Entrance Sign.

Desert View Point is the most eastern viewpoint at the South RIm of Grand Canyon. This image is looking north to the Colorado river, almost 1500 m lower in elevation. Desert View has an altitude of 2279 m.

Humphreys Peak (Hopi: Aaloosaktukwi, Navajo: Dookʼoʼoosłííd) is the highest peak in the US state of Arizona. It is the highest of a group of dormant volcanic peaks known as the San Francisco Peaks. I'm on the way from Grand Canyon to Flagstaff here, on a small dirt road in the wilderness. It doesn't look like 3852 m, if you compare it with mountains in our Alps.
