I have an apple monitor with special settings on the graphic plate custom made for photographer, it costed me a... but I feel rewarded.

About this very photo the edition is different than the other photos of your series, seems like Gudrun says underneath (or above?) a certain dosis of HDR, which I didn't find reference in your exifs. Maybe you pushed the sharp and contrast functions too high, (I would have loved it softer) but it is only my way of seeing things and I just tell you this because you asked.

It's definitely not HDR, it just reminds a bit of the look. In Colour Efex Pro there's a function (detail extractor) which gets a similar look- or simple adjustment of midtones.

It was my intention, to enhance the details of the wonderful old rusty steam turbine and its controls, so that it looks even more realistic as on the original photo. The raw photo, especially with difficult dark conditions, is never able to show as much as the eye can see in reality. There are many software tools like Color Efex Pro, Aurora HDR (which produces a look similar to HDR), Topaz Adjust or Luminar AI, for example. All are available as Photoshop Plugins and you can adjust the settings not too strong, to avoid this terrible unrealistic HDR-effect.
