Paso de Uspallata - 3832 m
Chilean border station and Refugio on the Andes mountain pass "Paso de Uspallata". As you can see, not much traffic up there ;-) The peak in the centre is Cerro Cabeza del Inca (4193 m). The summits right behind are Punta Desconocida (4360 m) and Cerro Alto de la Posada (4260 m). The PiP shows the Argentinean border station and Refugio. - scanned slide, Minolta X700

Berny club has replied to tiabunna clubThanks for sharing these places where I will not go ...with great pity, Berny
I wouldn't think this was a popular posting for the Chilean Border Police. It looks like a harsh place to live and work!
