Cárdenas - Plaza Malacoff
This is Malacoff Square, in the city of Cárdenas, the first public building of its kind in Cuba. Its construction dates from 1859. With a cast iron structure, a technique previously unknown in America, it became an example of iron-glass architecture. There are plans to restore the currently abandoned building. More at:
