Klein Matterhorn

Klein Matterhorn
Weather vane on top of the Klein Matterhorn (3883m, Wallis, Switzerland).
In the background the Breithorn with it's west summit (4.164m) on the left, and the middle summit (4.159m) in the middle of the picture. The striking summit far right in the distance is the Castor (4.228m).

The Klein Matterhorn is the highest point of the Alps accessible by cable car.

Wetterhahn auf der Spitze des Klein Matterhorn (3883m, Wallis, Schweiz)
Im Hintergrund das Breithorn mit dem Westgipfel (4.164m) links, und dem Mittelgipfel (4.159m) in der Bildmitte. Der prägnante Gipfel ganz rechts in der Ferne ist der Castor (4.228m).

Das "Klein Matterhorn" ist der höchste mit einer Seilbahn erreichbare Punkt der Alpen.

Das Breithorn hab ich im Blick für meinen ersten "Viertausender", bevor mir auch die Puste ausgeht. Ab 65 bleiben ja nicht mehr viele Jahre für solch ambitionierte Unternehmungen.
