The Hermann-von-Barth-Monument
The Hermann-von Barth-Monument within "Kleiner Ahornboden" (Karwendel, Austria). Within 1870/71 this celebrated researcher climbed on much more than 100 summits of the Karwendel and the Wettersteingebirge for the first time, most of them alone. Only 31 years old he died in Africa.
