. . . there is a story to be told it's true
for within the bark is another world maybe two
where little insects play hide and seek
where cracks appear and they do meet
some sleep here in the winter out of harms way
protected from predators they survive each day
when spring returns they awaken it's true
and little birds come and eat them too :)
