1979 Ford Escort Mk2 RS2000 - UAS 257T
The 2.0 litre RS2000 version of the Mk2 Escort, with its distinctively slanted polyurethane nose, featured the Pinto engine from the Cortina.

It provided a claimed 110 bhp and a top speed of 110 mph ... boy racers (and the not so old racers) loved them!

I tried to buy a new Monza during that time period, but ended up buying a new Mustang instead. An Escort wasn't remotely in the running!
