On the way north a view to a special river The Zrmanja a karst river in the south of Croatia. The Zrmanja flows through a karst area. Zrmanja and other karst rivers are characterised by their clear, emerald green water. The river and its surroundings have been the scene of a number of films: Winnetou 1, Winnetou 3, The Treasure in Silver Lake, Old Surehand, Winnetou and Old Shatterhand in the Valley of Death, Jingih's Khan, The Secret Treasure of Troy

an overview and last view from the lowest point of the cascades of the Skradinski buk, before we turn to the next Ettapenziel Skradinski buk is the longest travertine barrier on the Krka River. The growth of travertine barriers ( see here: de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Travertin ) at Skradinski buk was caused by the union of the water of the river Krka with the lower stream of the river Čikola at Roški slap and created one of the most unusual and beautiful landscapes of the Krka National Park.

The river Krka still looks very idyllic here, but this will change soon. The Krka has a length of 72.5 km, it rises 3.5 km northeast of the town of Knin at the foot of the Dinarid Mountains and flows into the sea at Šibenik. The upper 49 km are fresh water, the lower 23.5 km are brackish water. The majority of the river is located in the Krka National Park and is therefore protected.

Roški Slap The Roški Slap waterfalls are one of the most beautiful places in the National Park, although the majority of visitors to the Krka National Park do not even know that it exists and what it has to offer.
