‘s Lands Huys

‘s Lands Huys
Vesting Bourtange

Voor 1630 is het oorspronkelijke ‘s Lands Huys, waarschijnlijk samen met o.a. de kerk en de school, gebouwd. Het complex ‘s Lands Huys bestond uit twee gebouwen, het linker blok (het huidige café-restaurant) en het rechter blok, waarin was ondergebracht “Het Brouw Huys”, “Het Back Huys”, “De Paardestal”, “Ingenieurskamer” etc.

Het totale complex deed in die tijd dienst als stafcomplex van de Vesting. Omstreeks 1900 is het laatste restant van dit gebouwencomplex gesloopt.
