82 Inner Reaches Of Port Blair Inlet

This quite lengthy inlet almost divided the island, and having just crossed it via a bridge at a narrowing point, the road south-west continued down along the other side of it and into the west of the island. We were trying to head to Wandoor, but much of the travelling was by dead reckoning from a simple map that we got from our hotel. At one point we came across a small Army convoy at the side of the road, so decided to ask them if we were on the right road. After considerable discussion between them, one of the men emerged from the back of a truck with a large map, and after much discussion amongst themselves, we were told that they were not sure where they were either!
