EsG19 Phlogophora meticulosa (Angle Shades)
Noctuidae, Amphipyrinae Wingspan: 52mm.
A widespread but sparse species throughout Europe and the UK. At rest it crumples its wings at the tips, and, together with it's colour patterns, it can easily be be mistaken for a dead leaf, particularly if amongst other leaves. Although common, it is rare to get more than one individual to light trapping sessions, and only one came in here on the 17th.
