Geometridae - Wingspan: 100mm.

Strangely enough, one would think that this species is more likely to be a "Tiger Moth", and in fact, it is known in some places as a "False Tiger". However, the caterpillar is very much a "Looper" type, albeit quite large compared to most Geometrids, so the taxonomic placement of this genus is very clear.

This is a day-flying moth which we found flying around a Lantana australis flower patch together with the butterflies in the hotel grounds.
