Snuff Cottage in Culross. One of the charming ancient little cottages peppered around the village on the road up towards the Mercat Cross. August 18th 2012, Scotland.

Many thanks Don. This whole village is magical. Well worth a visit if you travel to Fife on the East coast of Scotland.

I like Snuff Cottage and feel that the entrance is quite enticing! That old window at the top is great and the writing adds more to it! Is the house on a hill as my mind sees the verticals as slightly off vertical? Lovely colours in the flowers and the door - especially against the whitewashed walls.

Thanks Auribins. This area of Scotland on the Fife coast has many remarkable villages mostly untouched for hundreds of years. The verticals are down to my poor editing - they were pretty true, but the cottage is on an ancient cobbled road and just beautiful.
