Lacewing

Lacewing
A Lacewing, possibly Chrysoperla carnea foraging on Yellow Alyssum, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, May 2021. It appeared to be feeding on nectar as far as I could see in the time I watched as it moved about the flower heads.

A very nicely detailed shot, Adrian, and I do love the eyes on these attractive insects. :-)

Thanks Dean, very much appreciated. Their eyes are amazing, had a job getting them in focus with this one, it never stopped moving.

You're welcome, Adrian. Ah yes, I have that trouble too, even when they're perfectly still. ;-)
