I have BIG problems shooting from my terrace!

I have BIG problems shooting from my terrace!
See the green arrow? It's there that I have problems -- depth of field or something (I don't understand technical stuff too well!) --- and all you can see sharply is the background with the swimming pool, chair, tennis shoe, white towel and -- oh, yes! -- the person with the untanned soles!

What to do??

Help!

The problem is that I was trying to get a really good shot of my cactus; maybe fuzzy is better than nothing.

Anyhow, I may have been distracted by the chair in the background and the person lying on it.

Thanks for your suggestion, in any case!

It's a well-known problem, you may have to buy a better camera! ;-)
