I was never a fan of hers as an icon or as standard of female beauty but I though she had more brains that she was ever credited for, poor baby. She lived though truly crappy times, too.

I saw Tony Curtis talking on an old Parkinson about how difficult she was to work with, how she made them wait on set and Billy Wilder the director put the scene in the can when Marilyn got the words right, and I thought “ Go girl, make those pricks wait.”

I've always been a Marilyn fan. It's great that she has Whitman in hand. This artwork is wonderfully haphazard. I like the book about her by Joyce Carol Oates.
