Das Altonaer Rathaus -ein denkmalgeschütztes Gebäude- ist seit 1945 Sitz des Bezirksamtes Altona. Ursprünglich war der Bau das Bahnhofsgebäude der Altona-Kieler Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft, das 1898 einige hundert Meter nördlich als Altonaer Hauptbahnhof neu errichtet wurde.
