Das Maiglöckchen bedient sich mehrerer Ausbreitungsmechanismen (Polychorie). Die Früchte, rote Beeren, entwickeln sich im Sommer und werden von Tieren, die deren gelbliche und birnenförmige Samen wieder ausscheiden, verbreitet. Insbesondere Amsel und Rotdrossel (Vogelausbreitung) tragen zur endochoren Ausbreitung bei. (WiKi)
