Thank you to the owner who showed us his beautifully restored baroque house in the old town of Quedlinburg!

Ich werde in nächster Zeit weiterhin nur sehr sporadisch her präsent sein, aber ich komme wieder:-)
I'll continue to be mostly absent in the coming weeks but I'll be back!

Thanks a lot, Amelia! They hadn't quite finished restoring it, the room next to the kitchen still was a bit of a building site. But most of the house was finished and decorated with lots of wonderful old stuff (someone's a serious collector there;-)

Thanks a lot, Rosa! I guess the door is still waiting to be restored but I'm sure they'll do it in style like everything else. The jeans, shoes and tool were the owner's which he had on while working on the house, his wife turned it into artwork!

Great detail and texture in that old door and frame and the basket of flowers on the doorstep is a nice touch.............very nicely captured Gudrun.

Thank you so much, Karen! In this town there are many wonderful old doors! In the former GDR many old houses escaped the "modernizations" of the West because they were just left to rot. Reunification came in time to save many of them.
