Seaside escape.
Pretty excited...I've a few days off work & decide to escape the city for the East Coast of Yorkshire...never been before...WHY?
Taking the train from Manchester-Piccadilly, I'm a bit nervous too as I'm on my own!....Arrive in Scarborough before lunch, I drop my bags & explore...

I too remember those trains...the journey was part of the excitement of the holiday, not something that had to be endured...This artwork by the great Frank Sherwin, one of a vastly talented stable of artists employed by British Rail.
