Someone Had A Camera
This is certainly 'between the wars' as people used to remark when we felt we were at peace. I would guess circa 1930. It's a little slice of village life before English villages became gentrified and the preserve of well-to-do folk hoping to find something like they saw in 'Miss Marple'. The clear vista behind, once known as the cricket field, is now covered in 'executive' houses, doubtless occupied by well-to-do folk who had hoped to find something like they saw in 'Miss Marple'.
