Auto Chinon 55mm f/1.7

Shot with a Canon EOS 20D camera. The lens was probably made by Tomioka and strongly resembles the more expensive f/1.4 version. Made in Japan and the engineering and construction are exemplary. More impressive still is the optical quality, particularly when stopped down (probably true of all optics!). A surprisingly good experience. Wide open, this lens would be useful on an APS-C format camera for flattering portraits.
