Grey Count - Tanaecia lepidea
This is the lovely Grey Count - Tanaecia lepidea - Butterfly which is found in forested areas at elevations between about 0-600m in India, Myanmar, Malaysia and Thailand. Males will often descend from the trees to bask on leaf litter on forest floors or on foliage (luckily for me) but they are very alert and easily disturbed. This, I think, is a male and was seen on Chandranath Hill, Goa, India.
