Costiera Amalfitana - Monti Picentini

Costiera Amalfitana - Monti Picentini
The "Costiera Amalfitana" - Amalfi Coast, overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Gulf of Salerno, has been (rightly) one of the places of longing for northern European tourists for about 300 years.
Meanwhile, the Amalfi Coast attracts large crowds of international tourists, especially in the summer. In 1997, the coasts were included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Salerno in the distance and behind the snowy peaks of the Monti Picentini.

Simply glorious!
I always wanted to visit Amalfi, ever since I became interested in medieval history at about 5 years old! I never did, sadly and now I think that I wouldn't be able to tolerate all those tourists anyway!

Go outside the high season. There were not many tourists in February. I´m traveling Spain for the next months and here are not many. So far.
