Schwalenberg - Rathaus

Schwalenberg - Rathaus
Schwalenberg, today part of Schieder-Schwalenberg, was first mentioned in writing in 1127. Situated on a hill above the village is Schwalenberg Castle, which was built from 1228 to 1231.

The "Schwalenberg Rathaus" is a half-timbered building that was erected as a town hall in 1579. It was extended by additions in 1603 and 1907. It is a very elaborate town hall for such a small place.
