Ciron - Lanterne des morts
The lanterne des morts (lantern of the dead) in Ciron, erected in the 12th century, is one of the oldest in France. The lantern is located in the centre of an old cemetery and was in use up to the French Revolution. The lantern is 5m high, standing on a square platform of 2,20m.
