Kinver CWP

Amazing view!

A great overview Peter. Where was it taken from? I had to look Kinver up. Have I got the right place? A large village in South Staffordshire, surrounded by the counties of Shropshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands. What does CWP stand for?

That's it, the nearest town is Stourbridge about 4 miles away I'm on Kinver Edge a sandstone escarpment's National Trust there are some Rock Houses, there are miles of paths to walk, there are plenty of photos my pages but probably not with Kinver in the tittle. Google Kinver Edge to see some videos. CWP is Contest Without Prize the subject this month is A Landscape or Cityscape from above it's the only reason I posted that shot, belonging to the group I feel obliged to enter something. It's been a dismal day at least it wasn't cold. The house opposite to me have got the Christmas lights on !!!! unless they have decided to celebrate Diwali. I'm on a sandstone escarpment it's heathland then it drops down into woodland, there are the remains of an Iron Age hill fort up there

What a lovely area where you live! So pretty! Such a grand view, I must say. I had to look it up and learned that you are in England! This picture reminds me a bit of some of the incredible little towns in Provence, France. Looking closer, the styles are completely different but the way the houses are all tucked together made me think of Provence!

It's about 70 miles from where I live, the nearest city to me is Leicester about 5 miles in the centre of England, most of our housing is close together, to many people on a small island !!!!
