The whole building is very run down when the National Trust took it over it was decided to stabilise it but not restore, there are rooms full of junk paint a paper pealing of the walls. Some of the family were eccentric and resisted change

I often remove people and things that shouldn't be there like modern signs on old buildings, on that shot there was some sort of wooden box against the railings and a strange metal structure painted red at the right hand corner of the house
