Toad C - more of a toadlet, as s/he is just a smidgeon over 1" [25mm] from the tip of the nose to the blunt end. Note warty skin and dull colouration. Another visitor via the log pile by the back door. Probably one of this spring's spawn.
This is one of a sequence of 19 images, but a lot are blurred by the toadlet moving, often quite suddenly as s/he was a lively individual. Safely released back into the wild wood, next to one of the stick piles, not far from the pond.

Spent quite a few minutes watching the far side of the river - beyond the actual fish pass on the weir - trying to catch a jumping salmon. I saw several, but my reaction & camera response times were not fast enough.

Sunlight on the western face of the Alston Arches viaduct, and looking downstream over the River South Tyne. This view highlights the angle at which the viaduct crosses the river here, and the bulk of the "cutwaters" protecting the lower sections of the arches from spates / floodwater.

The stonework underneath the viaduct is formed from some substantial walls - image taken looking along the line of the internal arches in quite sunny weather, so the outside sky is well over-exposed.

These waney-edged pieces on the left [unplaned] are for repairs to NER1173.
This is only part of the order ...

if this is actual dialogue, it is very strongly anti-war.
M*A*S*H is set at the time of the Korean War [1950-53], but the early seasons were produced during the Vietnam War ...
Having watched some re-runs recently [2022/2023] I detected various comments that were clearly anti-war, as well as anti-racism. tbh, I'm not sure how some of the lines got past the American tv censorship processes !

Oh Yes ! that is so true ... and some cats have delightful scent of their own.
[Apart from the non-cuddle-cats, as that would be below their dignity, of course !]
