Quite a crowd of people have come to watch the new IoMSP ferry "Manxman" as she berths on the Edward VIII pier in Douglas Harbour, July 2023.
She is carrying Captain Stephen Carter, the senior pilot for Douglas, in his last official engagement before retirement.
.
The little vessel with red funnel is the tug from the "Laxey Towing Co." and owned by Captain Stephen Carter.

Thought for the day outside the House of Manannan, Peel.
[Part of this museum was the Peel railway station].
Picnic tables give a good view of the harbour / marina and Peel Castle in the distance.

IoM[3] - plain crow

Remarkably tame ...
To be honest, I was hoping to find some hooded crows on the Isle of Man, but I didn't see any this visit. This one was pottering around on the grass of the sunken gardens on Douglas Promenade, probably looking for a snack.
Common or carrion crow [Corvus corone] and hooded crows are regarded as sub-species of the European crow, as they can interbreed freely and produce fertile {hybrid} offspring when they do.

Keeping this one in mind for potential feeding during another visit, although some aspects didn't inspire.

The Three Bridges of Devil's Bridge, Ceredigion
This is either a scan of an oldish postcard or an old print ?
[which has been sat on my hard drive for a long time].
The building dates for the bridges are usually given as 1100, 1753 and 1901 ...
