MER[23] - Closed van No.16
Closed van MER No.16, would be used for general goods - the mails would [usually] have been carried in similar vans with a red livery.
I believe this was repainted recently, and also appeared in the Transport Festival held at the end of July 2023.
Apart from the coupling, these outside framed vans look almost identical to the Steam Railway's "G class" closed vans.
note 1 : I think this is privately owned, currently in store at Laxey.
note 2 : goods - non-passenger - vehicles have a separate list of numbers.
