Looking North West, from the edge of the bailey - the main peak is "Mam Tor" , source of an extensive and long-standing land-slip.

I recommend to not build a main road or housing on a landslip - and it is especially not recommended to remove the "toe" from a landslip [that just permits further movement, unless stabilisation measures are taken "up slope"]
