Close-up detail of a bramble flower. [or blackberry, if you prefer]

I hope the bees enjoy their visits ... I like to make bramble jelly, which is why I allow some brambles to grow in the garden, then I know the fruit are "clean", as they haven't been treated with chemicals.

Which specific Rubus sp this is has proved to be an interesting conundrum.
According to the "Flora" I ususally use for identification purposes, there nearly 400 species of Rubus in the UK, some of which are highly localised.
