Traditionally, Seahouses lifeboat have often carried "Grace Darling" - the present Shannon replaces a Mersey with that name, but the habit does continue, with the station "D" class named for that heroine, she lives in the garage to the side ...

e2a - The station still attends incidents at the Holy Island causeway on a frequent basis. Mainly people trying to beat the incoming tide, and failing.
