Daily new cases are shooting up quickly, mainly due to the spread of the 'Indian' variant [B.1.617.2]. This is looking like a Third Wave now, with some increase in hospital admissions.
The vaccine rollout continues, with further younger adults being invited for the jabs.

Personally, I worry that the stages of unlocking are too soon, because a lot of younger people haven't had their jabs long enough [three to four weeks] to develop significant levels of immunity.
