The lamproom at Loughborough shed, a rarely photographed corner of the depot, & Dean the fireman on 48305 is prepping a couple of London Midland loco head lamps.

Cheers Peter. You can't leave the shed without 2 clean lamps filled with paraffin & the wicks trimmed. It's the Autumn Gala next weekend so the fireman who doesn't get there quickly is going to be left with the scruffier lamps!

Thanks a lot Andy. No, we don't have a dedicated lampman so the firemen get their own lamps before going off shed.
