The Saturday Self Challenge: Take a picture of a permanent architectural detail INSIDE your home (apartment or house). Can be some sort of unusual window, door, beam, pipe, stucco - NOT allowed: nonpermanent design or furnishing that you added to your home.

I live in an old Victorian house. This is part of the newel post of the staircase. It is one of my favorite details of the house.
