Hetty Pit
Hetty Pit was sunk in the late 1870s being one of four shafts at the Great Western Colliery. Linked to the Lewis Merthyr Collieries it was closed in 1983. The winding engine here is now preserved as part of the Rhonnda Heritage Park.
