Keep the Light On For Me

Keep the Light On For Me
Groth Winery, a producer of high quality red wine, is a delight to visit.

This photo was taken with a KOWA/SIX medium format film camera with a KOWA 1:3.5/55 lens and Hoya R(25A) ø67 filter using Ilford HP5 Plus 400 film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered in Photoshop.

Red filters + bright direct sunshine = contrast. Red wine is just an added benefit.

After the wine tasting they need a lot of light and massive fences! ;-D

And a sober driver to fetch them from the fence maze and transport them safely home . . .

A fine b/w image. Good solid fence to protect the wine too. :-) HFF

Perfect bright sunshine allowed the use of red filters to add contrast to the beautiful architecture of this classy Napa Valley winery.

Red -wine filters? It's all getting a bit too technical for me. It has a Xanadu-like aspect.

The vintage cabernet filters are the best, of course. Just ask the French vintners.
