happy thanksgiving!

I did have a good Thanksgiving. Thank you. It's a lovely holiday. The cities slow down (almost to a halt, though here there is always something active unfortunately - I desire an occasional pause), and people gather with family and friends. This year our daughter and her husband hosted for the very first time. They did a magnificent job! We actually had a family gathering with no drama (dramatics, yes, but no drama if you understand what I mean), and the food was great.

Many people here have turkey for Christmas as well. I think it's way too soon to do the whole thing again and have a tradition of a leg of lamb for Christmas instead. With mint sauce!
